Phosphoric Acid
85%
This product, which contains 12% nitrate (NO2) nitrogen, is a strong acid obtained by combining hydrogen, nitrogen and oxygen. Throughout the growing season it can be applied to the soil through drip and subsurface irrigation systems; it can also be sprayed on the foliage at a rate of 5 ml/100 L of water during sprayer applications and foliar feeding, in order to lower the pH of the spray solution to about 6.0. In agriculture, phosphoric acid is the phosphorus source preferred most in fruit growing, especially in olive and hazelnut orchards. In fruit trees it promotes strong root development and increases flower formation, while also contributing to fruit set. In calcareous soils it makes phosphorus soluble, significantly increasing the plant's nutrient uptake. In drip irrigation systems it also dissolves lime scale and deposits, keeping the system clean.
